"According to this website this Israeli product, a version of the Rabintex 303 which is widely exported, is also locally known as the 'ECH' or Enhanced Combat Helmet. 'Australia Special force was the first to issue this helmet in 2004. and major army forces issued this in 2005. It's much ligher than MICH.'" Rabintex webpage here. Unfortunately the original manufacturers label has been removed from this example. Also, according to postings on Irish military forums, it appears that the new Irish helmet which has replaced the Orlite 85 model, is the RBH 303IE, which is said to be identical to this Australian issue. |
