Before Belgium adopted the Schuberth 826 a troop test was made. Schuberth sent helmets to Belgium for tests in the army.

"A Belgian B826 - the "weird" thing about this one, are the two metal bolts/lugs that replace the side rivets. My only guess would be for military police...face shield, for riot controls probably.

Note, on Belgian B826's there is usually a sticker to be found, on the opposite side of the manufacturer stamp inside the helmet. The sticker is a nametag sticker, in the two Belgian languages, Flemish and French, states " NAAM / NOM : ........ "

Possibly test helmet - maybe VDN/Busch ?

"I  have a prototype ... that seems to be also from VDN/Busch.

This helmet is made in steel and Aramid, it has the inside of an US M1 (cradle).

At first, I though it was a prototype from Schuberth, but they've said it wasn't. It has no marking inside, except a contract number that seems to be Belgian, but it hasn't been found in the database of Belgian army.

I'm Belgian and I found it in Belgium, so the best idea is that it's a prototype from VDN for Belgian army (perhaps 1995 when Belgian army asked a new helmet)."
