BK 9 - Croatian helmet used by Lithuania |
|
"There are two models used, both made by Sestan Busch of Croatia. First model appeared around 2001. It was BK9 ("borbena kaciga" = 'combat helmet' in Croatian). Same model as used by Croatia." |
"Their shape is quite close to that of German 826, the obvious difference being there are two liner screws on the front sides as opposed to one on the 826." |
"Probably the only difference between Croat and Lithuanian examples is the absence of Sestan Busch stamp at the top inside and label sewn on the liner of Lithuanian helmets." |

BK3 - Croatian helmet used by Lithuania |

"Second model, BK3 came in around 2006. The manufacturer is the same, Sestan Busch of Croatia. This time, a sticker was applied on the inside shell of the helmet, stating its size, date of manufacture, batch and number. Sometimes, same sticker is also sewn to the sweatband. Under the shell sticker, there is a Sestan Busch sticker." |
