"Ukrainian Kaska-M. It is supposed to be earlier version than the Kaska-1M model. Mostly they were spotted on international maneuvres.

Its shape is similar to para helmets. They are painted in black colour with the paint layer being rather thiener than normal on western helmets.

Liner is three-point. Contrary to Kaska-1M this model also features amortisation pads. Buckles are very similar to those seen on Sfera helmets. "

"This modification of Kaska-M is very similar to the earlier shown helmet. Its difference is a metal rim against the rubber of the first model.

The rivets are also placed somewhat differently in order to attach the rim. Plus there is one extra rivet  on each side. Its inside surface also differs, being non-smooth. Other than that the helmets look the same.

Information on these helmets is very limited, there is almost no sources. "

Mostly used by Ukraine's peacekeepers in Iraq and is rarely seen inside Ukraine

PA210047.JPG

The helmet is rather crudely made, and sometimes cracks appear on the outside of the shell.
